*Danielle LaPorte’s Burning Question: “How do you say what you do?”
How do you usually tell people what you do? And if you’re not giving yourself full credit for your work in the world — whether you’re rocking a cash register or leading a team of twenty — How can you light it up when you say what you do?
Let people see the full scope of what you’re doing. You can be modest and powerful. Factual and engaging. Facts + feelings = genuinely compelling.
How Do You Say What You Do?: The Answer
Most of the time, my answer reflects on the environment I’m in and the level of transparency I feel I should have. Truthfully speaking, not only would it be confusing to explain what I do, it would be pretty damn overwhelming if I had to run it down, but I’ll try to make it snazzy and snappy. Here goes:
“I’m Creative CEO of Wild Topaz Media, a digital content + media production company. My company’s strength is focused content development, marketing + publishing across social media and other digital platforms such as Amazon Kindle, which has been wildly successful. I love to work with free-thinking entrepreneurs who fantasize of enchanting their audiences with contagious conversation, laughs and intriguing insight. When I’m not inspiring businesses to find their voice within digital media, I publish content across several sites, including Sexy Focused Ambitious, where I experiment with new ways to open the doors of communication between the hip-hop and marketing communities for effective brand development.”
